The Project
The Canadian Cancer Society is a national, community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer. Since 1947 they have invested more than $1 billion in cancer research. Through this investment, great progress has been made. Today, about 60% of Canadians diagnosed with cancer will survive at least five years after their diagnosis.
The Result
Amanda is working with the public issues teams across the country to develop a nation-wide advocacy framework on cancer. This includes defining clear goals and objectives, strategic analysis to identify priorities and training on strategy implementation. Amanda also provides government relations support to meet with Ministers and Members of Parliament to achieve the Canadian Cancer Society’s policy objectives.
