The Project
Girl Effect is an independent non-profit organization, launched in September 2015 with the goal of ending poverty globally. Created by the Nike Foundation, the United Nations and other partners, its work is based on its belief that when given the opportunity, girls are able to lift their countries out of poverty. They work with partners to reach millions of girls in more than 50 countries through the technology girls use every day.
The Result
Amanda and her colleague Chris Dendys developed a Canadian strategy to broaden Canadian government support for Girl Effect’s work. This included articulating clear goals and objectives, building a master narrative to describe Girl Effect’s work and developing a plan for government relations, resource mobilization and strategic communications.
